Explore Ladakh- A journey to Hanle Dark Reserve.

About Expedition

Have you ever seen stars sparkling in every inch of the sky, and the arm of our home galaxy, the milky way, extending 180 degrees across the sky from horizon to horizon? Gear up to be blown away by the sheer density of stars in the sky, so much so that you are almost tempted to reach out and grab some stars.

Our Ladakh expedition is the most anticipated science expedition every year, and has overwhelmingly positive reviews due to the nature of its well crafted guided experiences. The expedition is open to both kids and adults, with every aspect of the trip from food to accommodation to transport and safety being taken care of with utmost care.

👈 Meet Hanle

Hanle is a small village in Ladakh region of the Himalayas, and has been bestowed upon with the tag of 'Dark Sky Reserve'. Hanle offers some of the clearest and darkest skies; this is due to the fact that there is practically no light pollution in this region. Hanle is also home to one of the highest optical telescopes in the world - The Himalayan Chandra Telescope. The telescope is located at an altitude of around 4,500 m above mean sea level (14764 ft) and is remotely operated by Indian Institute of Astrophysics.
