Space Tech Camp
A five-day space tech camp equipped with a wide range of modules, including building a rocket, designing and building satellites and night sky watching session with the aid of telescopes. The camp will kindle a sense of curiosity and wonder in kids and make them passionate about learning science.
Why learn this course?
Humans have always been enthralled by the sight of the night sky. Our ancestors’ unrelenting search for knowledge about the sky and the objects in it, has led to an astronomical revolution in our understanding of the universe. We humans, even today, continue to expand this search, at an ever increasing rate.
Nowadays, there is an increase in enthusiasm for space science amongst kids. Rockets, satellites, astronomy, Stars, black hole are the words you hear when you find kids having a conversation. With big aspiration for a manned mission to moon and mars, the need for kids to get exposed to space technology is quite essential. In this 5-day summer camp kids will learn the following:
- Get introduced to astronomy by doing experiments related to light and gravity.
- Build rockets by understanding centre of gravity, point of balance, apogee, drag and thrust.
- Build their own CAN satellite by understanding the basics of electronics and circuitry.
- Stargaze at Mango Observatory at Anaikatti through telescopes.
Note: For sessions on satellites, kids need to bring their own laptop and mouse.
Why should you choose this camp? How do we drive the curriculum? What would your kid learn from this camp?
We are so thankful to Mango education and team. Our son learned a lot about astronomy. Especially the way of teaching by Obuli Chandran had ignited a spark towards astronomy among the children. They are going to glow like stars in the future for sure. Thanks again!
