October Sky - Basic Rocketry Workshop
Through this workshop, kids will learn the technical and theoretical part to build a rocket. This helps to create interest to the kids in rocket science; to enable them to learn skills relating to engineering, failure analysis and teamwork.
A summary of the program.
Rocketry is an excellent means for teaching a number of scientific concepts such as aerodynamics, centre of gravity, point of balance, apogee, drag and thrust. It is also great for the teaching of math using problem-solving, calculating formulas, geometry and determining altitude and speed. We chose to build a rocket so we could experiment with the scientific method.

All about our educators and instructors.
When you launch in a rocket, you’re not really flying that rocket. You’re just sort of hanging on.
