Expert: Dr.R Ramanujam, Theoretical Coomputer Scientist
Dr. R Ramanujam is a theoretical computer scientist at The Institute of Mathematical Sciences, Chennai, applying mathematical logic to problems coming from computer science. He has been active in mathematics education and science communication for a long time and chaired the National Focus Group on Teaching of Mathematics, NCERT.
He is also the Editor of Thulir, a monthly children's science magazine in Tamil published by Tamil Nadu Science Forum. At the moment he is the convenor of the group: Indian Scientists' Response to CoViD-19.
In this session, he will discuss how math and computer science are interrelated, math in everyday life, career opportunities in the field of mathematics, and also answer questions by kids.
