Total Lunar Eclipse Community Event

A summary of the program.

The cosmos is a vibrant and a lively place! And majesty and magnificence of the cosmos is more intensely felt during celestial spectacles. July 27th – 28th, 2018 happens to be a rare moment in our lifetime to witness the longest lunar eclipse in the century. And even more special: it is a Total Lunar Eclipse, allowing us to get a stunning view of the Blood Moon!

This event is organised by Mango Astronomy Club, where the members (kids), would be taking us into a journey of understanding the eclipse, and would be engaging with the people who will be joining us for the event.

  • Penumbral Eclipse Begins: 22:44 PM, 27th July
  • Partial Eclipse Begins: 23.54 PM, 27th July
  • Total Eclipse Begins: 01.00 AM, 28th July
  • Maximum Eclipse: 01.51 AM, 28th July
  • Total Eclipse Ends: 02.43 AM, 28th July
  • Partial Eclipse ends: 03.49 AM, 28th July
  • Penumbral Eclipse ends: 04.58 AM, 28th July

Note:

All science enthusiasts, kids and their parents can be part of the event. But prior registration is mandatory. Snacks can be purchased and tokens for snacks will be available.
