How Kids Can Lead Design & Innovation

Session info

What if children could lead the frontiers of design and innovation? Here's introducing Design & Innovation for kids, an opportunity to learn from a field expert!

Krishna Thiruvengadam is an impact designer and educator from Chennai. He is a product design alum from the TU Delft (Netherlands). As an educator, he founded dHive labs, a network of self-reliant maker spaces in rural areas. As a designer, he has developed several impact-driven products in the healthcare, personal security, agriculture and accessible education domains. His work has been recognised by the prestigious IF Design Talent Award 2020, James Dyson Award 2018 and 3M Young Innovator Award 2017.

In this session, Krishna will be educating kids on the frontiers of design & innovation by introducing them to an on-site, real-life story. This is the story of Lobhi, a remote tribal village in Maharashtra, where children and youth run a self-reliant innovation hub and solve local problems with technical solutions.
